Hi, my name is Ellie!

Ellie S. Photography was born right out of Central NJ, a place my family & I call home. I've been a registered nurse for 7+ years, which has been both humbling and rewarding in many ways. Photography on the other hand has always been a passion for many years, which really took a life of its own during the pandemic. 

I turned to photography as a coping skill to better my mental health during a tough time, which quickly outgrew being a coping skill and into a true calling. 

My Why

As cheesy as it may sound, photography is beyond just the picture. It's the idea that you can capture a moment in time which can be treasured beyond that moment itself. It's more than just capturing the image, but about telling stories and highlighting emotions that transport you to another time and place.
